Harvey's Boo Bash at Dollywood 2026: Dates, Tickets & What's Included

By Zane Gilbert

Dollywood has been running the Great Pumpkin LumiNights display since the Harvest Festival began — thousands of carved pumpkins, the 40-foot pumpkin tree, the Hoot Owl Hollow walk — and for years, the consistent feedback from the most enthusiastic Harvest Festival attendees has been the same: they wish they could stay longer. They wish they could experience the park after the daytime crowds leave and the full effect of the lighting takes over.

In 2026, Dollywood heard that feedback and built an event around it.

Harvey's Boo Bash is Dollywood's first-ever separately ticketed after-hours event — three Friday nights in October when the park closes to regular day guests at 9 p.m. and reopens as a limited-capacity playground for Boo Bash ticket holders until midnight. It's a new format for Dollywood, priced in the same tier as Disney's Halloween after-hours events, and it answers the question that serious Harvest Festival fans have been asking for years.

What Is Harvey's Boo Bash?

Harvey's Boo Bash, Dollywood theme park's very first separately-ticketed, after-hours special event, takes place on October 16, 23, and 30, 2026 after Dollywood's Harvest Festival presented by Humana closes to regular park guests at 9 p.m. The event runs from 9 p.m. until midnight, providing guests the opportunity to enjoy Great Pumpkin LumiNights as well as several exclusive activities and offerings just for them.

Guests with Harvey's Boo Bash tickets may enter the park as early as 6 p.m. — which means Boo Bash ticket holders get a full evening that covers both the final hours of the Harvest Festival daytime experience and the exclusive after-hours event. That's effectively two experiences in one evening: the Harvest Festival from 6 to 9 p.m., then the Boo Bash from 9 p.m. to midnight.

Harvey is Dollywood's pumpkin character — the friendly face of Great Pumpkin LumiNights — and the event is built around his personality. This is not Dollywood's version of Halloween Horror Nights. The event is family-friendly rather than haunt-adjacent — more cute than creepy, as one description put it. Dollywood's philosophy on this is explicit: "It may be a little spooky, but it isn't scary."

What's Included

Admission to Harvey's Boo Bash from 4:00 p.m. until midnight includes exclusive nighttime access to Dollywood, a candy bag to fill with sweet treats along the treat trails, and an exclusive commemorative cup.

The specific included elements:

Candy Treat Trails — candy collecting stations scattered throughout the park, trick-or-treat style, are one of the core Boo Bash features. Candy corn "crops" line Candy Corn Country, part of the Harvest Festival fun that sets the stage for the exclusive party.

Great Pumpkin LumiNights — the full illuminated pumpkin display, including the 40-foot pumpkin tree and Hoot Owl Hollow, is fully operational during the Boo Bash hours. This is arguably the most visually dramatic time to experience LumiNights — after midnight-adjacent darkness has fully settled and the park has fewer people in it than any other point in the fall season.

NightFlight Expedition — ticket holders get exclusive access to NightFlight Expedition — the world's first indoor family hybrid coaster and whitewater river raft ride that debuted in 2026. With limited capacity and an after-hours crowd, the wait times for NightFlight during the Boo Bash will be substantially shorter than any daytime visit during the Harvest Festival's busiest weeks.

Dance Parties — character meet-and-greets, dance parties, and themed photo opportunities are woven throughout the evening. Harvey and other harvest characters host exclusive interactions that aren't available during regular Harvest Festival hours.

Exclusive Food and Merchandise — exclusive food options and merchandise are available only to Boo Bash ticket holders — seasonal items that don't appear anywhere else in the fall calendar.

Tickets and Pricing

Tickets for Harvey's Boo Bash are priced at $129.99 plus tax. Season passholders and guests staying at Dollywood's official resort properties can take advantage of a $5 discount. Special bundles that include a standard daytime admission ticket are also available for those wanting to experience the full park before the 6 p.m. early entry window.

Tickets are available now at dollywood.com/BooBash. Given only three nights are scheduled for 2026, availability is expected to be tight — this is the kind of limited-date event where waiting until October to buy tickets is a gamble worth avoiding.

The $129.99 price point is worth contextualizing: at that price, Harvey's Boo Bash is in the same tier as Disney's Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which runs more than 20 nights each fall at Walt Disney World. Dollywood is offering three nights. The scarcity is real and the pricing reflects the premium after-hours format.

Why Three Nights and Why Now

Harvey's Boo Bash was first announced in October 2025 as part of Dollywood's "game-changing" 2026 season. The limited three-night format for the inaugural year is deliberate — Dollywood is testing the format with genuine capacity limits before expanding. Dollywood — TripAdvisor's top-ranked U.S. theme park, drawing 3.8 million visitors annually — is entering a segment of the theme park industry previously dominated by Disney and Universal: the separately ticketed, premium after-hours seasonal event.

That context matters for how you think about attending in 2026. This is the first year of an event that will almost certainly grow in subsequent years — more nights, more programming, potentially higher prices. The 2026 edition is the version with the most access and the most intimate scale.

Planning Your Boo Bash Evening

The 6 p.m. early entry option for Boo Bash ticket holders creates a natural six-hour evening structure:

6–9 p.m. — Harvest Festival daytime programming is still active. Use this window to ride attractions with the residual daytime crowd clearing, visit the LumiNights display in early evening light before full dark, grab dinner at one of the park's restaurants, and explore the seasonal décor throughout the park.

9 p.m.–midnight — The park clears of day guests. Boo Bash exclusive programming activates. Work the candy treat trails, ride NightFlight Expedition with reduced waits, attend the dance party, find Harvey for photos, and experience LumiNights at its most atmospheric — after full dark, with a reduced crowd and the exclusive Boo Bash lighting additions active throughout the park.

A few practical notes:

Kids and the midnight end time. The event runs until midnight on a Friday — a late night that works for older kids and adults more comfortably than for very young children. If you're bringing kids under 6, the 6 p.m. early entry means you can arrive, do the candy trails and character meets, and leave well before midnight without missing the core Boo Bash experience.

Parking. Arrive before the standard park close at 9 p.m. Parking lots begin clearing as day guests leave — arriving at 6 p.m. gives you the best selection and the most time to get settled before the exclusive portion begins.

October 30 is the strongest date. The final Boo Bash night — October 30 — falls the day before Halloween, giving the evening a natural seasonal energy that the earlier dates don't quite match. If you can only attend one of the three nights, October 30 is the pick.

How It Relates to the Harvest Festival

Harvey's Boo Bash is separate from and in addition to the regular Harvest Festival experience. A standard Harvest Festival visit — included with regular Dollywood admission — gives you Great Pumpkin LumiNights, the daytime concert lineup, the Tasting Pass food program, and the full park during regular hours. Harvey's Boo Bash is the premium layer on top of that, available only on three specific Fridays to a limited number of ticketed guests.

You can visit Dollywood during the Harvest Festival multiple times with a season pass and then purchase a separate Boo Bash ticket for one of the three Friday nights — they don't compete with or replace each other.

Planning Your Stay

October is one of the highest-demand months for Smokies cabin rentals — fall foliage season and the full slate of October events (Harvest Festival, Boo Bash, Wears Valley Fall Fest, Oktoberfest at Ober, NQC) create consistent demand for the entire month. Booking lodging well in advance of your target Boo Bash date is the reliable approach.

Our cabins open for bookings starting July 1 — we keep a small, hand-picked portfolio of properties across the Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Gatlinburg area. A Pigeon Forge cabin puts you closest to Dollywood for a 6 p.m. Boo Bash arrival without a long evening drive home. Take a look at what's available at smokiestays.com/cabins.

Harvey's Boo Bash takes place October 16, 23, and 30, 2026, at Dollywood, 2700 Dollywood Parks Blvd, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863. Event runs 9 p.m. to midnight; Boo Bash ticket holders may enter starting at 6 p.m. Tickets are $129.99 plus tax. For tickets and the most current event details, visit dollywood.com/BooBash.
